A Bank Holiday weekend on film
What a gorgeous long weekend that was! I hope you all had the best time too. Summer is always such a busy time, isn't it? I love it so much, but also, there is so much to do, and so many people to see!
This weekend was so much fun. It kicked off for me on Saturday with a trip to All Points East festival at Victoria Park in London. The XX were playing and it was brilliant. I love nothing more than a London day festival, they're always the best, with the best food! I was there for work as part of a job with Hunter. We met in islington at the canal and got on a huge Hunter barge to take us round to the festival! The weather was incredible so it made the day. We had lots of music, a near miss with some ducks and a few glasses of prosecco to get things going. James came with me too, which was ace.
On Sunday I met up with my pal Lauren, who I haven't seen half as much as I'd like to recently, even though we live fairly close! It's one of those things with close mates, no matter how many weeks pass, the you see each other again its always the best. We had major catching up time to have so we talked the afternoon away, shopped a little at KOIBIRD (an amazing new pop-up in central London that you must visit if you have time! as pictured all in pink!), and ate some pretty gorgeous food. It was another baking day so we basically sweated our way through.
James and I headed off to Birmingham on Monday to visit my best friend Laura and her husband Mike. The four of us haven't had a double date day in ages! So we went for a day of eating, shopping and a few gins. It was Laura's birthday at the end of May so we had to celebrate. Me and Laura have been friends since the womb, basically. Our mum's were best mates growing up so we were half forced together. We have this thing in our relationship where if one of us is up the wall, the others presence alone is the thing that calms us down the most. True love! The bloody trains though, give.me.strength. 2.5 hours to Birmingham from LONDON. What a joke- I can get back to Manchester in way less! Anyway, I hate trains. It's a good job Laura and Mike are worth the trip.
Thank you so much for reading and I'll see you back here on Friday for some new in fashion pieces that I think you'll love xx
