Taking back your time: L.K. Bennett Athleisure
Let's face it, this time of year can be absolutely mental. This is the first year I've been thrown into the running of two full time jobs, and it's been no mean feat. Pressures at the hospital for my job as a Physiotherapist rise in the winter and work for Ropes of Holland has increased beyond manageable. But somehow, you just deal with it right? Because most of us are designed to, built to say yes and not miss opportunities, built to step up when the pressure increases. But at what cost? I can tell you that this year has been a real balancing act challenge but I'm doing it, because I want to make the most of everything, and not let anybody down.
When L.K. Bennett reached out about the launch of their new Athleisure wear, it couldn't have been more perfectly timed. This line is designed for women just like us; women who live life on the go, women who never say no and women who can't sit still for even five minutes. I cannot express to you just how comfortable and well-fitting this line is...
Christmas is such an incredible time for most, and one I certainly cherish because I get to spend an uninterrupted period of time with the people who matter most to me. My lifestyle has always been a bone of contention, especially with loved ones because I simply don't stop. I wanted to share some of the ways that I'm trying to make a change, so that I do get those five minutes to sit still and take some time back for myself. As I sit here writing this, I've got a wash load on, I'm half packing to go home to my parents for Christmas and I'm in-between wrapping Christmas presents. But, I've set myself a bedtime of 10pm, I've got a candle burning and I'm actually sat here in my L.K. Bennett Athleisure wear because honestly, it really is comfortable, oh and the kettle is on for a much needed camomile tea!
If you take anything from this post, it's to make time for yourself, and if you can't right now, put it on a strict to-do list and tell your loved ones of your intentions so that they can remind you that not everyone else needs pleasing before you.
