A summer city uniform

London in the summer is so beautiful, and like I've said before, the vibe and the mood generally is just so 'up' and it's an amazing place to be. HOWEVER, trying to dress for near 30 degree heat in the middle of the city gets tough. As much as I'd love to, I can't very well be walking through Oxford Circus in a bikini.

It took me absolutely ages to put this outfit together on Sunday, it was just so hot, I was even too hot in my underwear as I was getting ready so I was desperate to avoid, well, clothes!

The best option for breeze and airiness, (something which is apparently now paramount in this heat in the middle of a city) was this incredible skirt by Stine Goya, a cool, fun Danish brand. I wore it last in Miami, a few months ago, and had forgotten just how much I loved it and how comfortable it is. This black top was kindly sent to me by Weekday last week and I've worn it so much already- it's really light and cool, and basically goes with everything you own. And, it's only £12.

I knew I'd be out and about exploring with my friend Lauren so as much as I wanted to free my feet in some slides or sandals, I'd have ended up with a blister or two come the end of our day, so I popped my absolute favourite trainers on, the Alexa Chung x Superga off white high-tops. They're so comfortable and just look great with everything; fancy skirts to jeans. My bag is by chic French brand Rouje, and it's the best black basket bag I've found- it fits three cameras, my make-up, and my giant iPhone 7+ in.

I need to find some more breezy midi skirts to battle on in this city heat, or else I'll never wear anything else again at this rate!
