La Redoute in Nice Part 1
A couple of weeks ago, I was whisked away to Nice, France with one of the brands I love and respect most; La Redoute. To be asked to go away in the first place was so exciting, and then to be asked to shoot for the look book, even better. The trip and the team were two of the most wonderful things to happen to me this side of 2017. For those of you that are only just finding out about how incredible La Redoute are, welcome!
Their online site is nothing short of a treasure trove. The volume of stock can be somewhat overwhelming, but I'm a pro these days and I've managed to get really good at creating my own edit- it's fun, you should try it. The quality of the pieces is brilliant, everything I've got, washes well, and wears well. I'd say that one of the great things about La Redoute is the price point; it is extremely affordable, and you'll always find things you'd never see on the high street. One of the other amazing things about La Redoute (Sorry, there are a few…) is that they have the best sales. 40% off the entire site! Their latest sale has just finished but there will be another one very soon.
This was one of four looks that we shot for the look book and I love each look as much as the last so I found it really hard to choose my first look to share with you.
So during the trip, Erica Davies and Emily Johnston (who are amazing and were shooting too) named me 'Tizzy" apparently, this look made me an F1 driver's supermodel girlfriend from the 1970's. I am 100% on board with that.
This top is amazing, quality, fit and I love how bright the red is. The jeans are straight leg and a great fit (if you don't sit in bird poop- yes it happened). Finally the shoes, oh the shoes. Incredible suede, wrap up the leg and very comfortable. I negotiated cobbles in these babies, so I'd say that's a fair test of their durability too!
