Postcards from Mykonos
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to head off to Mykonos with a brilliant bunch of people. I actually didn't know most of them before I arrived but we had mutual friends there to tie us together! It was half relaxing, half party and overall amazing. Mykonos is such a beautiful island and I've always wanted to visit. I have spent a lot of time in Greece growing up, on family holidays but this was such a different experience. We went just as the season was beginning in April so everywhere was a little quiet during the day, but the town centre at night was full of life. The food is incredibly good; we ate out a couple of the nights and BBQ'd at the villa on the other nights.
Our Villa, Rocky Mansion was absolutely incredible. It slept all 8 of us comfortably but sleeps up to 16 people. It's got huge spaces for relaxing inside, an infinity pool and rooftop views to be reckoned with. The outdoor BBQ area was my favourite; we cooked the most amount of food, and subsequently we were all a little too hungover to eat most of it but…you live and learn.
The beach is around 10 minutes away, by quad bike! We found this was the easiest way to see the island, and it was 25 euros per day from Mykonos Town. The airport is also around 10 minutes away so it's super easy to get to the villa and the town centre.
Must do's in Mykonos Town:
Skarpa Bar- for an incredible sunset
Kiki's- for amazing food in the evening
Semeli- for dancing!
