Travel Guide: Three days in Hong Kong

I've just returned from the most incredible trip to Hong Kong, and then Bali. I stayed in Hong Kong on a stop over for three days and my goodness, what a city. I'll start by saying that it won't be long until I go back to visit. I was very lucky to travel with Cathay Pacific as part of the Life Well Traveled campaign. I always find that actually, travel is the one thing that excites me most in life. Adventure and exploring make me tick and Cathay Pacific are the biggest advocates of that. I'm not sure I'd fly long haul with anyone else again!

Hong Kong one of the most bustling, vibrant cities I've ever visited and there is just so much to do. Incase you don't know, Hong Kong is in fact, an Island! And because of this, it's actually far more 'green' than I would have expected. There are lush mountain side forests everywhere. So if you want to hike, you can, and if you want to get lost in the Wan Chai markets at night, you also can!

Sleep: OZO Wesley Hotel, Wan Chai

Such an amazing location in Wan Chai. Everything I needed was less than 30 minutes away. The hotel was perfect, bright, comfortable and the staff were so helpful (this is also important when visiting a brand new, BIG city!).

The lead in room category, the Sleep Room price starts at HK$1100 (approximately GBP 113), exclusive of VAT and service charge and subject to season and availability.

Shop:

Vein- An absolute gem. Scandinavian designer store for women. I picked up a Charlie May blazer and a Ganni leather jacket.

Kapok- Very cool multi brand mens and womenswear store. There are a few across HK.

Lane Crawford- Huge designer department store. You'll get happily lost in here and have the best time discovering new designers.

Eat:

Ho Lee Fook- Literally one of the best meals I've ever had. Get the roast duck! Reasonably priced.

Mott 32- Absolutely beautiful. Incredible food, very fancy. Expensive but great for an occasion.

Shugetsu- If you like ramen, which I don't. Then this place is great, quick, easy, no frills. There's usually a que!

Elephant Grounds- Incredible coffee menus and great sharing food menu. Perfect for lunch.

The Cupping Room- Great coffee and wonderful brunch! There are a few of these around.

Things to do:

The Peak- Honesty incredible. You take a train up the mountain to the highest point in Hong Kong. The train is amazing, it's practically vertical! Beautiful views.

Wan Chai night markets- Shabby and cool all at the same time. Haggle your way through Hello Kitty merchandise to bring back for friends and eat on the street.

Hong Kong University, Polytechnic building- The architecture here is incredible. It's basically inside the university campus but if you're interested in design, it's perfect for you.

Please do ask me for anything else you might think of if you're heading there. It really is an incredible city.

Thank you so much for reading. xx
