Day to night with Vestiaire
I’ve had a few situations recently where I’ve had a full day out and about, and haven’t been able to nip home in between to get ready for an evening out. This means, I’ve had to really dress in a savvy little way. Layers, are the key, oh, and a spare pair of shoes. You all know how much I love Vestiaire. Luxury pre-owned goodness! Especially for amazing, purse friendly, designer vintage. I’ve created a day to night look by mixing both current and vintage pieces I found on Vestiaire.
Let’s start with the daytime look. I’ve become a little bit obsessed with linen, as evident in my last two posts. This shirt is vintage, by Loewe and I don’t think I could have found a more perfect fit in a shirt. It’s fitted, with a curved hem and has a beautiful split in both sleeves. I’ve owned it for 1 week and it’s already been worn 3 times. I chose a fairly blendable piece to use as my daytime go-to because I don’t want it to age, and what’s more classic that a tailored white linen shirt.
Slightly hidden away underneath the shirt is a La Perla mesh lingerie body. Now, this is such a great layer because it can go under a more simple top to add a bit of glam, or, as you’ll see in my night time look, be used as a top- as long as you aren’t too fussed about showing a little bit of boob!
Next up are these incredible wide leg, high waisted Re/done jeans. Now, this is the second pair I have, and they fit me so incredibly well, are true to size and really give me a bottom! These were actually brand new, as the seller had never worn them, so they came with full tags. You really can find a gem if you look hard enough!
To finish my look, I added a medium sized bag with some great handles as a detail. Its by Roksanda, and I’m full in love. It is beautifully made and fits my daytime rubbish in, as doubles up as a great evening bag.
To switch this look into the night time. I ditched the linen shirt, popped on a bolder lip and changed my converse for a structured high heeled boot.
This has really showed me just how great it can be to invest in easily versatile pieces on Vestiaire, you can find brands from Chanel to Cos and the vintage pieces will have you trawling for hours!
