The rework, complete with faux furry jacket
WELCOME to the new Ropes of Holland! Thank you so much for bearing with me whilst this wonderful change happened…it's no overnight job! I have the very wonderful Cat at Gatto web & blog design to thank for this.
Change can be a wonderful thing, it can make us feel ready to embrace the new, and be thankful for what has passed.
The old Ropesofholland.com just didn't feel like me anymore, like it didn't have my back, so to speak. Now, I'm a firm believer in content making a blog, not the platform it sits on, but equally, the platform has to reflect you too. I wanted it to feel clever but simple and with that, user friendly, and my goodness do you know how many edits we went through to get to this point….you have no idea how important font can be!
My life has changed dramatically over the past 12 months or so, in work, love and everything in between, and on the whole, in a very positive way and I have a lot to be thankful for. I guess you could say that the relaunch of Ropes of Holland comes with the start of new and exciting chapters of my life, ones I didn't even see coming.
I couldn't recommend Cat at Gatto any more, she has been so easy and wonderful to work with and even had me on the phone during a *slight* Wordpress meltdown, on a Sunday. The design process was simple and easy and she knew exactly what direction I wanted to take it in.
I really hope you like the new look and I would love your feedback once you're used to using it too, after all….it's for you! You can catch Cat's work here.
And of course, you can shop my look below (I am a little bit in love with this faux fur jacket!)
