Things I did and wore this week 2
Welcome back to part 2 of my new series. I hope you enjoy these diary style posts, I really love writing them for you. It's also such a nice way for me to reflect on my week too! Last week I was in Norfolk with family, had a gorgeous staycation in London, hosted an event (!) and enjoyed being in London and at home a lot.
This was taken last Saturday night as we headed out in Norfolk for James' mum's 60th birthday celebrations. It was such a gorgeous evening, as it had just started to warm up around the country and everyone was feeling lovely! We went to a restaurant in Wells-next-the-Sea and had such a great meal, with wine, of course. I’m wearing my favourite new top from ME+EM, paired back with some light wash denim, a midi heel and my go-to oversized & Other Stories Blazer. What a great night.

I experienced hosting my very own event last week for the first time ever. It was amazing and daunting at the same time, and was for French brand Claudie Pierlot. My incredible agent, Rachel took this photo of me just as we were leaving to get there. She’s constantly making me laugh, so the fact that I’m giggling in this photo is very apt. We had done a couple of press days together first so I’m dressed a bit smart/caj for that. This jacket is by Claudie and it’s one of the jackets that I keep pulling out as it is such a great throw on piece, and the leather is amazing and comfortable.

My lovely mate Monkih took this photo of me in Central London last week. We met up late morning to go for a bit of lunch and a catch up. She had just come from a breakfast where my other mate, Brittany was with her, and Brittany and I were meant to be meeting later that day too, so the three of us joined up and had a really relaxed afternoon in the sun together. This rust coloured bodysuit is one of the best things in my Spring wardrobe at the moment; it’s just so easy to wear and is great for a flat chest! Oh, and it’s under £20.

Last week, James and I stayed with the Artist Residence,, London for a night. I checked in at around midday because I was in a bit of a creative slump and feeling altogether uninspired, so I thought a change of surrounding would spur me back on. It did! It worked and it really helped me to re-focus on what I wanted to achieve and to stop the worrying about not being on the right path…what IS a path anyway as long as you’re happy? James took this on the morning we checked out. He’s pretty handy with my camera now!

Like I said, I was feeling a little bit low on creativity pre checking into the Artist Residence hotel. During my stay, I made a video for a Spring wardrobe update here, filmed an episode of The Reset Series here and James shot a couple of things for me. I wanted to shoot a bit of a go-to denim collection and this is one of my favorite looks from the shoot. This blazer is flipping wonderful, and is from the ASOS White collection. It’s really well made, is tailored well and is now £70 in the sale. Size down by one size though as they come up big!
